Anita Karim, born in Karimabad, Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, is Pakistan's first international female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, known for her impressive achievements on both national and international levels. Alongside her brothers, Uloomi Karim, Ehtisham Karim, and Ali Sultan, she co-founded Fight Fortress, one of the first MMA training centers in Pakistan. Anita has won 7 gold medals and 1 silver at the Pakistan Grappling Challenge (2017–2018). She made headlines by winning One Warrior Series bouts, defeating Indonesia’s Gita Suharsono in 2019 and Estonia’s Marie Ruumet in 2020, solidifying her place as a pioneering female athlete in Pakistan’s MMA.
